About the Village Community Association (VCA)

Join On-LineDear New Resident of the Village at Niagara-on-the-Lake

The Village Community Association (VCA) wishes to welcome you to “The Village” and encourages you to join the Association.

The VCA has four goals:

Advocate on behalf of Village residents to the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake and other levels of government to bring resident concerns to the forefront.

  • Issues such as parking, traffic control, lighting, and use of park land would be examples of work with the Town

Social activities are also always on the agenda.  We organize numerous social events for members each year including:

  • Christmas Party
  • Themed parties
  • Yearly garage sale
  • Informal summer evening get-togethers
  • Golf Tournament
  • And more – make a suggestion!

Enhancing the Village Appearance – we’re not in the prettiest town in Canada without some work!

  • Christmas Decorations for the streets and parks in the Village are organized by members
  • Garden work by volunteers in our parks and post boxes

Communication to our residents – We work to keep you informed!

  • Newsletter – As a member you will receive a regular electronic newsletter providing details of our recent activities, social events both within the village and the town and other activities you might like to participate in.  You will also receive updates on our work with the town advocating for the Village.
  • Website – We work to provide information to our residents on-line.  But you know that because – you are here!

The annual VCA membership fee is $30 per household and is valid from May 1 to April 30 of each year.

  • Membership fees cover annual administrative costs and sponsorship of activities.

General Meetings – As a member you can vote at VCA all member meetings

Please note:  Because our Village is an architecturally protected community, it is important that all owners consult the landscape and architectural codes before making any changes to their property. This is one of the ways the ambiance and architectural integrity of the Village is maintained.

If you did not receive these guidelines at the time of purchase, please contact John Hawley at 905-468-2766 for a copy.
